Grace Deegan

Grace is a certified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist specialising in Play Therapy and Theraplay. She holds an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy and a P.Dip in Play Therapy. Grace has trained in Theraplay, a dyadic family therapy to support healthy attachment between children and their caregivers and Sensory Attachment Interventions. She provides parental support and has trained in Circle of Security parenting and Non-Violent Resistance Intervention.

Grace has over ten years experience working with children and young people in schools and community settings. She spends her time between private practice and working with children and young people who are adopted. She provides consultation for families of all types and trauma aware training for community organisations and schools. Grace is particularly passionate about working with children and caregivers to ensure their relationship feels connected, secure and playful. She believes in the power of play and creativity which has been underpinned by her training in trauma and modern brain research.

Grace works to support families and children with a range of difficulties including: •Attachment difficulties •Challenging Behaviour and Regulation difficulties •Trauma •School Issues •Anxiety •Family Separation •Bereavement •Other Clinical Diagnosis •Parenting programmes. Grace is a member of IAPTP.
