Student Counsellor
Aoife is in the final year of her BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy with the Irish College of Humanities & Applied Sciences (ICHAS). Her work is grounded primarily in a person-centred approach, characterised by warmth, attentiveness, and a non-judgemental stance, and informed by CBT perspectives, Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic thinking, and attachment theory.
Aoife’s practice focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming therapeutic environment where clients feel heard and supported, with the freedom to explore what is going on for them at their own pace. She works collaboratively with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, grief, and relationship challenges.
Aoife values building genuine, trusting therapeutic relationships and tailors her integrative and practical approach to meet the unique needs of each client, working sensitively with individuals from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds.
