Karen O'Connor
Integrative Psychotherapist
Karen qualified with a Dip in Counselling from PCI College in 2007, Karen holds a BSc. in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the IICP in 2022, Karen is currently in her final year of her MA in Integrative psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents with the IICP, and is due to qualify in Oct 2024. Karen is a Pre-accredited member of the IACP, and is due to be fully accredited by Sept 2024.
Karen has been in private practice for the last number of years, but has a varied background in both the corporate and healthcare world, Karen has vast experience
in the area of social care and through this, has nurtured a love of supporting and helping people navigate their own lives, to make the right choices for them.
Karen has a keen interest in the area of neurodiversity and enjoys working in this area. Alongside this Karen works for a charity-based organisation supporting adults
and young people in the areas of suicide ideation, self-harm and suicide bereavement.
Karen works using an Integrative approach, from a range of Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioural and Post-modern approaches, whichever fits her client the best. Karen provides general counselling & Psychotherapy, however areas of particular
