Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy

Mike holds a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. Cert in Addiction Studies. Post Grad Diploma in working therapeutically with Adolescents. He is an accredited member of IACP.

Mike strives to create a friendly, calm, safe and private place where people feel welcome and at ease to share and explore whatever they want to. He offers genuine respect, warmth, empathy, and acceptance in a non-judgemental way so that people can feel heard and understood. He is passionate about helping people understand and make sense of their past and present situations, to understand and discover their true self along with their potential, so that they can heal, develop new skills, and have the strength to live a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

Mike likes to collaborate and accompany a person on their journey of self-exploration and transformation by incorporating Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, Humanistic and Existential approaches. He has experience in addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, panic, stress, anger, low self-esteem/self-worth, identity, grief, addiction, family & relationship issues, childhood issues and other relational issues.

Before becoming a counsellor, Mike worked in several different roles in the Construction, Engineering, Medical and I.T. sectors. He currently works as a youth worker in secondary schools. He enjoys many sports, hiking, reading, music, creative arts, and nature.
